Description:

According to Gallup polls, as many as 70% of workers are not engaged with their organizations. Many employees want to develop their skills, but they may not know what the skills they need are or what they want to do next. It has long been thought that most workers aspire to be in management positions. Not only are there not enough management positions for all employees, but recent studies show that most employees do not want to manage. How then, can organizations develop employees and keep them engaged? In this session, we will discuss what the new era of employee development looks like and provide tips on how to create effective employee development programs the may include expanding development opportunities beyond normal upward mobility. Tips will be provided on how to grow and develop employees both inside of and outside of work.
