Culture Fit Ain't It
With a great focus on culture and its importance to organizational performance, companies have increasingly turned to assessments or interviewing methods that emphasize cultural fit. In a thought provoking interactive session, we'll discuss how helping people fit in might be hurting things like innovation, diversity, and overall performance in the long run. Hiring people who fit in is easier but it might be avoiding the kind of constructive conflict your organization needs to move forward. Instead of hiring round pegs, Dave Needham suggests maybe we need to enable organizations and leaders to make square shaped holes.
