Bonita Sonderby, SHRM-SCP, SPHR, SPHRca

Bonita’s human resource experience has included organizations from quasi-governmental non-profit to international telecommunications with a multi-state/multi-site focus. She has a Bachelor’s in Business Administration and an MBA. Bonita aligns human resource practices with a business-minded operational approach that has allowed her to provide assistance in communicating and supporting initiatives while helping to drive sound fiscal decisions to achieve organizational success. This approach has been successful to attract, retain and engage a talented and committed workforce while creating recognition for the many aspects of human resources in an organization. Bonita has been on the Mile High SHRM Board since 2012.

Adam McCoy, MBA, SHRM-SCP, SPHR, GPHR

Adam has been with Mile High SHRM since spring of 2015, and has been heavily involved in the Emerging Leader program, and has a deep passion for advancing the HR profession in Denver, particularly sharing his Global HR experience. Adam also has great enthusiasm for educational programming, including assisting in the facilitation of our SHRM certification prep classes, Monthly Member Programs and PDGs, all of which drive value for members of Mile High SHRM and help members maintain their valuable HR certifications.

Shawna Simcik

Shawna is a founding partner of ICC: Innovate. Coach. Consult. and is responsible for fostering current and prospective client relationships, ensuring proper and consistent delivery of talent management services and planning and executing the business strategy to consistently deliver innovative solutions. She is an authentic leader with a strong commitment to promoting collaboration and developing creative approaches that are built on credibility.

Shawna is currently serving as the Immediate Past President for Mile High SHRM and an Executive Advisory Council Member for Rocky Mountain ATD. As a true Colorado native, Shawna is a die-hard Broncos fan, mother and wife.

Anthony J. Mirenda

Anthony J. Mirenda, CFP®, is President of Front Range Wealth Management. He provides tailored financial counsel to work towards sustained prosperity for successful businesses, individuals, and families. As a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ Professional, he is a valued resource to each of his clients who rely on him for financial guidance in their pursuit of personal, professional, and financial success. Prior to founding Front Range Wealth Management in 2016, Anthony spent five years with two national brokerage firms and eight years in corporate tax accounting. Anthony graduated Cum Laude from Colorado State University with a BS in Business Administration and a concentration in Finance. Anthony has served on the Mile High SHRM Board of Directors since 2016.

Jim Molloy

Jim assists individuals, families and businesses with a broad array of financial needs. With the support of a full-service brokerage platform, he is able to research and recommend long-term investment strategies and develop customized financial plans. He has a passion for building long-lasting, personalized client relationships and takes a holistic view of each client's financial situation. Jim has served on the Mile High SHRM board since 2015 as a Director At-Large.

Carol Dodd

Carol is a Vice President, Employee Benefits Consultant for HUB International Insurance Services. Carol has 25+ years experience in the insurance industry working for consultant firms, two major insurance companies, hospital providers and a large fortune 100 employer in the human resource benefits division. Carol’s area of expertise includes both self-funded and fully funded insurance plans. She is well versed in strategic planning, cost containment, account management, underwriting and renewal negotiations, carrier relationship management, benefit design development, medical plan auditing, financial reporting and HR system implementations.

Megan Carrica

Megan is a leader in the employment industry and passionate about process improvement. She has a Bachelors in Finance from Washburn University and currently earning an MBA from Metro State University. Megan began volunteering with Mile High SHRM in 2013 and lead the new member committee for multiple years. In her current role, she works in partnership to lead the entire membership committee to strengthen the health of the organization. Before relocating to Colorado, Megan played Division I soccer at North Dakota State University.

Colin A. Walker

Colin A. Walker focuses on trials and litigation, particularly in the areas of employment law, trade secrets, and non-compete agreements. He also counsels clients on employment policies and practices. From 1995 to 1999, Colin was a criminal prosecutor with the State's Attorney Office for Baltimore County, Maryland. In that capacity, he tried hundreds of bench trials and numerous jury trials at both the misdemeanor and felony level, including prosecuting two murder cases. Colin has traveled extensively, including a semester of study at the Miami University European Studies Center in Luxembourg. He is a member of Phi Beta Kappa. Colin has served on the Mile High SHRM Board since 2012.

Richard Toma

Richard Toma has been volunteering with MH-SHRM since 2011 and has been serving on the Board of Directors since 2015. In his day job, he is an HR Business Partner at CPC where he rapidly became an indispensable leader, providing superior HR support to the whole organization. Richard's experience spans across functional areas such as talent acquisition, onboarding, training and coaching, benefits, performance management, employee relations, engagement and retention. In his spare time, Richard loves to travel, experience new cultures and food, listen to music and spend time with family and friends.

Rachel Lucas, PHR

Rachel Lucas, PHR is the HR Training and Development Specialist for RANGE Consulting at the GLBT Community Center of Colorado. Rachel worked in Human Resources roles in Texas until she moved to Colorado in 2015 to begin her work advocating for LGBT inclusion in the workplace. Rachel consults and provides training on LGBT inclusion at work and in public spaces to corporate, non-profit, and public organizations in Colorado. She holds the Professional in Human Resources (PHR) designation and serves as Education Co-Chair for the Mile High Society for Human Resource Management.

Nicole Hamm

Nicole has been a Mile High SHRM member since 2012. She currently serves as Community Engagement Director on the Board. She studied at the University of Northern Colorado, where she obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Marketing. Nicole has excelled during her seven years at Ajilon, focusing on recruiting for top talent in human resources, operational support and high-level client relations. She partners with companies in the Denver Metro area to consult on their human capital needs. She has been recognized in her organization for her consistent ability to place top talent and has been awarded the AllStar status multiple years.

Maria Lampman

Maria has been a volunteer with Mile High SHRM since 2013 and is currently the Director of Emerging Leaders/College Relations. She is passionate about HR and believes Mile High SHRM, with their abundance of learning opportunities and ample networks, is one of the best ways she can empower both herself and other Emerging Leaders. In her day job, she is the HR Generalist for National Corporate Housing where she’s responsible for onboarding, hiring, benefits administration, and many other HR functions. Along with her PHR and SHRM-CP certifications, she holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration.
