Anticipating the Unknown: Immigration Changes in the Trump Administration

Session Description

President Trump has promised regulatory and immigration reforms that would greatly affect employers nationwide. Federal agencies, such as the DOL, NLRB, and USCIS, have already reversed course on numerous Obama-era rules and initiatives, and additional changes are sure to come. Attorney Roger Tsai will discuss practical immigration law developments that employers should expect under the Trump administration, including:

  • Pres. Trump’s new Buy American, Hire American Exec. Order
  • Recent changes to the I-9 Form, effective July 17, 2017
  • Responding to Request for Further Evidence on H-1B visas
  • Prospective legislation for Dreamer (DACA) work permits
  • Beyond the Executive Order on Immigration, the real-time impact on business visas.
