How Metrics and Measurement Transform HR's
Relationship with the Business

SHRM Track: HR Expertise (HR Knowledge)
PDG Track:HR Expertise (People, Organization, Workplace)

Session Description

The Human Resource function tends to attract passionate professionals who genuinely care about serving the business.  Ironically, these same Human Resource professionals tend to report higher than average levels of job related stress and lower than average levels of job satisfaction.  One explanation for this is the inability of HR to directly measure (and defend) the impact of their efforts in the face of largely subjective feedback from the rest of the business.

In this session designed for internal client-facing HR professionals, you will learn how to shift from arbitrary and subjective measures of success to a process for establishing objective criteria developed in collaboration with their internal customers.  More importantly, you will see how objective measurement can both empower HR as a function as well as clearly demonstrate their impact on the business as a whole.
