Group Health and Medicare:Strategies to Provide Significant Savings

Session Description

This presentation builds upon our previous webinar of the ins and outs of Medicare and employer plans.  You will still learn something if you were unable to attend the first one.  We will provide a brief review of how Medicare works and then move into the strategic details of what companies can and cannot do regarding Medicare and employees. This presentation will help guide HR Professionals in both small (<20) and large (<20) companies how they can take a proactive approach on the strategy of saving on health insurance costs while maximizing Medicare options.

What's new from the first webinar:

  1. Now that we’ve gone over Medicare, lets learn some methods that will help eligible employees choose it over your group health plan.
  2. What employers can and cannot do when helping employees with Medicare.
  3. A Simple Option for transitioning from expensive employer Retiree plans to company subsidized Individual Medicare Options.
  4. Individual Coverage HRA’s (IC HRA’s), and how they may transform employee Benefits.

Speaker

Tom Crennen

Tom Crennen, has been a licensed Health insurance agent for over 25 years, a registered Professional Engineer,  founder and owner of ColoradoHealth.com specializing in Medicare and individual insurance since 1996 and more recently founder of Benefit Transitions.  Benefit Transitions specializes in providing expert help for Employers and their employees in navigating  the tricky world of Medicare and individual options. Employees or dependents turning 65 will have many questions on what is the best health insurance option for them. Employers may find substantial savings by educating their employees on Medicare options, developing structures that optimize Medicare usage and pointing them to someone who can help them understand both their employer Group and Individual / Medicare options.  COBRA,  Individual health insurance (sometimes with Tax credits),  and Group retiree options are evolving as the cost of Health   insurance keeps rising. Benefit Transitions helps both Employers and Employees with demonstrated savings.

He founded ColoradoHealth.com, Inc. and Benefit Transitions as a way of helping Employer Plan enrollees navigate the transition to Medicare.
