2019 Mentor Walk FAQs

What should I bring with me?

This event is outdoors so dress appropriately for the weather; sunscreen, sunglasses. Comfortable walking shoes are a must!

In case of inclement weather, bring an umbrella or rain jacket. Please note, no dogs are allowed. Business cards are encouraged or some way to exchange contact information. This event is geared toward adult mentors and mentees.

We also encourage our mentees to bring with them their one burning question to make the most of their walk.

Can I choose my mentor/mentee?

Based on your registration, mentors and mentees will be grouped together by our team prior to the event. You will find out who you have been grouped with at registration.

Will this be an ongoing relationship after the event?

We strongly encourage you to exchange contact information with your mentor and mentee after the event, but there is no requirement to provide or have an ongoing relationship after the event. Mentors have no obligation to provide continued support following the event.

I want to participate, but I am differently abled.

YES! Still register for the event. We will have tables available in the pavilion for mentoring relationships to occur if you are unable to participate in the walk portion of the event.

Where will we walk?

To be determined.
