ELEVATE HR AWARDS 

Elevate HR is an awards ceremony to honor  HR professionals/teams who are advancing Human Resources in their organization or community. 

Descriptions of each award are below. Each nominee will be contacted and interviewed. The selection committee will choose 2-3 finalists per award and the winner will be announced at the Elevate HR Awards and Holiday Celebration hosted in December. 

Award Descriptions

Human Resources Professional of the Year

Nominees for HR Professional of the year are HR professionals who are advancing the profession in their organization or local community. Award winners are defined as someone who is implementing or enhancing HR programs, policies, procedures, benefits, or strategies that positively impact their organization or community. They could also be a great mentor, leader, or individual contributor. Finally, they could be volunteers or volunteer leads in their community providing their HR expertise to advance local non-profits. 

Young Professional: Rising HR Star of the Year

Nominees for the Young Professional award are a student pursuing a career in HR or a professional within the first five years of their HR career. They are advancing their own careers by participating or leading HR initiatives within their organization or community. Award winners are defined as future leaders in the profession who are challenging the status quo or volunteers in their community providing their HR expertise to advance local non-profits. 

DEI Champion of the Year

Nominees for DEI Champion of the Year are a professional who is advancing Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging within their organization or local community. Award winners are defined as someone who is implementing or enhancing DEI programs, policies, procedures, or strategies that positively impact their organization or community. They could also be an advocate, ally, or leader. Finally, they could be volunteers or volunteer leads focused on creating greater diversity, inclusivity, and equitable opportunities within their communities. 

Recruiter of the Year

Nominees for the Recruiter of the Year award are for a recruiter advancing talent acquisition within an agency, personal business, or corporation. The individual is focused on advancing the recruiting profession by implementing or enhancing recruiting programs, tools, policies, procedures, metrics, or strategies that positively impact their organization or community. They are known as trail blazers in this space beating the odds in this tight labor market. 

MHSHRM Volunteer of the Year

Nominees for the MHSHRM Volunteer of the Year award are individuals who have been an outstanding contributor in a MHSHRM chapter, committee, board, taskforce, or working group in the current year of his or her volunteer position. Nominees should provide an exceptional level of support, activity, commitment and/or leadership. The recipient is considered an ideal volunteer who delivers consistent performance, brings additional resources to the chapter, enhances the ability of the chapter to carry out its goals, or increase its impact.
