 A Letter from the President

March 13, 2020

Dear Mile High SHRM Members:

In light of the COVID-19 outbreak, I am writing to share an update on our collective approach to handling this situation, and especially how it is impacting our near-term event planning. As always, the health and safety of our attendees, staff, partners and volunteers will remain our highest priority. After monitoring guidance from federal, state and local public health authorities, I have decided that our Professional Development Groups planned for March 19thand April 15th, Emerging Leaders Happy Hour planned for April 23rdand our Quarterly Education Event (QEE) planned for May 1stwill be cancelled.

While every attempt will be made to reschedule these events or take them virtually, given the impending summer holiday period, it may prove difficult. If any of the events become virtual, an update will be shared. For those of you who have already registered and paid for these events, your registration will be transferred to the next similar event. If you have questions about your registration status, please email info@milehighshrm.org for more information and alternatives which may be available.

For our events into the summer, we will continue to monitor agency guidance related to the COVID-19 situation closely and will evaluate and evolve our preparations as the situation may warrant. We understand the uncertainty you may have surrounding COVID-19 and that you may have questions specific to your situation. To assist you with information and focused resources, National SHRM has an extensive coronavirus response resource page.

Should this situation change, we will update you promptly. Stay safe and I hope to see you at an event this summer!

Sincerely,

Adam McCoy
President
