Interested in Speaking at a Mile High SHRM Event?
Mile High SHRM calls on leading HR and business thought leaders to present information of great value to the Mile High SHRM membership. We conduct two Requests For Presentations each year in July and February for our two conferences: The Annual HR Conference (held January 31, 2020) and The HR Emerging Leaders Conference (held in May). If you have indicated an interest in speaking at our other events, your submission will be considered during the next RFP process. The current RFP link can be found at the bottom of this page.
Presentation opportunities include:
Annual HR Conference
The Annual HR Conference is held in January around a central theme and three to four tracks with a specific focus that are detailed in the RFP. Each year approximately 12 speakers are chosen.
HR Emerging Leaders Conference
The HR Emerging Leaders Conference is held each summer. This themed event is geared toward developing HR Professionals, who are earlier in their HR career. Past events have included keynote speakers, panels, and Ignite-style presentations.
Professional Development Groups
Professional Development Groups (PDGs) are topic-focused groups that meet periodically which allow Mile High SHRM members to stay current on new HR trends and issues. PDGs allow for 25-30 speaking opportunities each year. More information about PDGs can be found here.
Monthly Member Programs
Monthly Member Programs (MMPs) offer members and guests an educational opportunity that includes networking, breakfast or lunch, followed by a speaker presentation. There are approximately eight MMPs each year.
Sponsored Webinars provide organizations the opportunity to present their own HR content to the membership for a fee of $1,000. To date, this has been a successful means of educating and reaching our professionals with attendance of 40+ HR professionals per session. These events are often promoted to other chapters of Colorado SHRM.
The requirements for presentation forum vary, but generally need to qualify for educational credits through SHRM and HRCI. Mile High SHRM will facilitate the certification process.
If you would like to present to Mile High SHRM, please complete the Speaker Interest Form below.
Thank you for your interest in sharing your expertise with our members. At this time, Mile High SHRM does not compensate speakers or provide reimbursement for their expenses. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to Kaye Lynne Martin and Alison Jeske, Mile High SHRM Education Co-Directors.
