SESSION DESCRIPTION

How does a small HR team or an HR Department of One create a world class leadership development program on little to no budget?  Talent pipelines are thin and, although recognized as important, there is often little focus on leadership development.

To meet company goals, organizations need a plan for growth and strong leaders to guide the company.  Top performing companies identify and nurture talent through a formal talent review and planning process, and actively managing a pool of successors for business-critical roles.  

In this session, participants will learn how to demonstrate the strategic and business value of implementing a leadership development program, like Fortune 50 companies, for little to no cost.  They will understand how to identify business needs and establish performance metrics to determine the ROI of the program.  They will see how to partner with company leadership to uncover resources needed to develop a world class leadership program, and learn how to create a motivational environment so employees will take initiative in their career development and demonstrate the skills necessary to meet company goals.

BIO

Ken Sher is an Executive Coach and Career Consultant with 30-years’ experience leading and coaching individuals and managerial teams at companies such as Johnson & Johnson and Bristol-Myers Squibb. In addition to Sales & Marketing leadership roles, he led three different Learning & Leadership Development teams, including a global organization.

Ken shares his experiences in an engaging and humorous style that motivates his audience to action leading to fast, positive, and impactful changes for his individual clients as well as with corporate clients. 

He believes that TRUST is the foundation of all great relationships and his approach is practical and can be adapted to any organization regardless of budget and resources.
