Background

Mile High SHRM was founded in 1938 to meet the needs of human resource professionals in the metropolitan Denver area. From that time to now, our 1000+ annual members have influenced business decision-making locally, nationally and internationally. These Denver-area HR professionals come together through Mile High SHRM to develop and support the HR profession, provide awareness of best practices and improve skill readiness in the business community. The Mile High SHRM Workforce Readiness Committee operates as a bridge between community agencies and Mile High SHRM to create greater collective impact through assisting agencies with workforce related missions including: economic development, workforce education, workforce initiatives, self-sufficiency, and poverty reduction.

The Mile High SHRM Workforce Readiness Committee annually selects a recipient. We are pleased to announce it will provide volunteers and a grant up to $3,500 during the 2025-2026 membership year (June 1, 2025 - May 31, 2026) to local non profits or state funded universities that support Mile High SHRM’s mission to create greater collective impact through assisting agencies with workforce related missions including: economic development, workforce education, workforce initiatives, self-sufficiency, and poverty reduction.
