Mission

At Breakthrough, their mission is to foster positive transformation and empowerment for incarcerated participants. They are dedicated to breaking barriers, inspiring innovation, and forging meaningful connections that allow incarcerated individuals to achieve their highest potential. Breakthrough prides themselves in supporting people with criminal histories as they transform their lives and radically alter the community’s perception of the incarcerated population. Their holistic approach includes an in-facility career education program, community engagement, re-entry support, a fair opportunity (chance) hiring program, and criminal justice advocacy initiatives. It is their goal to provide immersive and data-driven education to support individuals in obtaining their self-actualization. Additionally, they seek to establish relational networks with pipelines for sustainable living and reintegration for the benefit of the individual and community.
