About Mile High SHRM |
Mile High SHRM was founded in 1938 to meet the needs of HR professionals in the Denver metro area. Since then, our 1,000+ members have influenced business decision-making locally, nationally, and internationally. Denver-area HR professionals come together through Mile High SHRM to develop and support the HR profession, provide awareness of best practices, and improve skill-readiness in the business community. Our Community By The NumbersWho are our members?Mile High SHRM includes 1,000+ members representing HR professionals at all levels and from companies of all sizes. Nearly 80 percent of our members are HR practitioners. Four percent are students, six percent are in job transition, and approximately 10 percent are affiliate members providing a product or service to HR practitioners. How big are their companies?Twenty percent of our membership work for companies with less than 50 employees, 31 percent work for companies with 50-250 employees, 17 percent work for companies with 251-500 employees, and 30 percent work for companies with more than 500 employees. What are their titles?Thirty percent are directors or senior vice presidents, and 28 percent are managers. The rest of our members have a variety of job titles including president, specialist, consultant, administrator, assistant director, or legal counsel.
