Talent Equity in Action Series (DEI Strategies)

We are pleased to bring you a new Talent Equity in Action series in 2023. This four-part series includes two in-person events and two virtual panels. This is a free event for Mile High SHRM members and community members.

Our sessions are designed for HR practitioners and leaders. Topics include:

Examining our current workforce and equity gaps
Utilizing skill development to create an inclusive and talented workforce
Accessing tools and resources for diversity talent pipelines in Colorado
Developing a strategy that increases diversity and advocacy for underserved populations

Session 1: Where Are All the Workers?

Did you know that Colorado has two job openings for every available worker? In an increasingly tight labor market, we cannot afford to overlook available talent.

Join this session to take a deeper look at our talent pipeline in Colorado and what you can do to expand your candidate pool.

Join us to connect the dots. You’ll learn how to leverage resources in our community to develop your existing employees into the employees you need.

July 27 - Virtual Panel (Past Event)

Session 3: Connecting the Dots: Resources for Building the Talent You Need

We get it. Traditional recruitment sources leave a lot to be desired.

Join us for some fresh ideas. You’ll learn how to create earn and learn programs like apprenticeships, on-the-job training, work-based-learning/internships and mentoring. Oh…and did we mention that most of these are free!

Session 4: Building the Bridge - Recruitment Workshop

Let’s get practical. In this final session, we’ll connect you with resources you need to hire and develop the right people.

Join us for our final session to put it all together! At this event, we will be connecting HR leaders with community resource organizations. They will be available to help you create an innovative talent pipeline plan you can include in your current and future recruitment strategies.
