Adam McCoy, MBA, SHRM-SCP, SPHR, GPHR,
Adam has been with Mile High SHRM since spring of 2015, and has been heavily involved in the Emerging Leader program, and has a deep passion for advancing the HR profession in Denver, particularly sharing his Global HR experience. Adam also has great enthusiasm for educational programming, including assisting in the facilitation of our SHRM certification prep classes, Monthly Member Programs and PDGs, all of which drive value for members of Mile High SHRM and help members maintain their valuable HR firstname.lastname@example.org
Rachel Lucas, PHR
Rachel Lucas, PHR has volunteered with Mile High SHRM since 2016 and enjoys being part of the conversation in the HR community in Denver, Colorado. Currently Rachel leads the Emerging Leaders, College Relations, and Education, and Conference Committee directors and serves on the Mile High SHRM Executive Committee.email@example.com
Bonita Sonderby, SHRM-SCP, SPHR, SPHRca
Bonita’s human resource experience has included organizations from quasi-governmental non-profit to international telecommunications with a multi-state/multi-site focus. She has a Bachelor’s in Business Administration and an MBA. Bonita aligns human resource practices with a business-minded operational approach that has allowed her to provide assistance in communicating and supporting initiatives while helping to drive sound fiscal decisions to achieve organizational success. This approach has been successful to attract, retain and engage a talented and committed workforce while creating recognition for the many aspects of human resources in an organization. Pamela Krider is an experienced leader, business partner and communications strategist with a 25-year track record in helping companies address the complex challenges of business growth, organizational change and leadership development. She is owner of Krider Consulting Group specializing in change management, organization effectiveness and professional coaching.
Before moving from corporate to consulting in 2006, Pamela was Vice President of Corporate Communications at Honeywell Aerospace. She previously served in executive positions at Qwest, Limited Brands, Motorola and Coors Brewing Company. She began her communications career in television production and radio promotions, preceded by entry-level positions in the non-profit sector.
She has extensive experience in designing, leading and managing large communication organizations with national and international responsibilities. She has directly supported senior management teams in creating the necessary alignment needed to realize their business goals. And she manages executives and young professionals in career development and achieving personal excellence.
Pamela studied journalism at the University of Colorado. She is active in business and civic communities, including serving as Treasurer for Mile High SHRM.email@example.com
Colin A. Walker
Colin A. Walker focuses on trials and litigation, particularly in the areas of employment law, trade secrets, and non-compete agreements. He also counsels clients on employment policies and practices. From 1995 to 1999, Colin was a criminal prosecutor with the State's Attorney Office for Baltimore County, Maryland. In that capacity, he tried hundreds of bench trials and numerous jury trials at both the misdemeanor and felony level, including prosecuting two murder cases. Colin has traveled extensively, including a semester of study at the Miami University European Studies Center in Luxembourg. He is a member of Phi Beta Kappa. Jim assists individuals, families and businesses with a broad array of financial needs. With the support of a full-service brokerage platform, he is able to research and recommend long-term investment strategies and develop customized financial plans. He has a passion for building long-lasting, personalized client relationships and takes a holistic view of each client's financial situation. Myranda Whitesides is a Performance Support Specialist for the Interior Business Center, the Department of Interior's Shared Services Center. She conducts personnel and payroll systems training for over 50 federal agencies, as well as providing training in Diversity and Inclusion for her peers. Myranda graduated with her MBA, HR Emphasis, from the University of Colorado Denver in 2016, and served as the SHRM Student Chapter President. She has been a member of Mile High SHRM since 2015 and has volunteered since December 2018, starting as the Education Manager. She is honored to be serving on the Board of Directors as the Education Co-Director. Alison Jeske, SHRM-CP, SPHR
Alison is the Human Resources Manager for BSI, LLC, a food service equipment manufacturer. She specializes in implementing effective human resources programs and processes. Alison moved to Denver in 2015 and joined Mile High SHRM to network with local HR professionals. Her involvement led to volunteering on the Emerging Leaders Committee, becoming the Sponsored Webinar Manager, and now stepping into the role of Education Co-Director. She believes in the benefits of the association and is honored to serve on the Board of Directors. Carol has 25+ years experience in the insurance industry working for consultant firms, two major insurance companies, hospital providers and a large fortune 100 employer in the human resource benefits division. Karin Harrington is a Human Resources leader with more than 18 years of progressive experience managing the many facets of HR. She is the Director of Human Resources at the Society for Mining, Metallurgy & Exploration, partnering with senior leaders to craft creative people solutions that drive business results. Karin received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at Gonzaga University (Go Zags!) and holds both the SPHR and SHRM-SCP certifications. Brenda is the Director, Human Resources for Tolin Mechanical Systems. Brenda is a Native of Texas and moved to Colorado in 2018. She has been a member of Mile High SHRM since 2018. Brenda began volunteering with the Conference committee in 2019. Brenda holds a Master of Human Resource Management, specializing in Strategic Innovation and Change Management from CSU Global. A current member of Sigma Beta National Honor Society, Mile High SHRM, and SHRM. Brenda also holds a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice and has worked directly with families and the communities within the Texas Juvenile Justice Department, prior to landing in human resources in staff development. Brenda has a background in staffing, recruitment, training and development, program development, and community engagement.
Brenda is a previous Board of Director for the Texas Community Service Association (TCSA), a statewide organization, where she planned statewide conferences. Brenda served on the board for six years, while serving as President for 4 of those years. Brenda is a past board member of numerous not-for-profit organizations within her community. She also served on the Career Services Employer Advisory Panel for the University of Houston-Victoria while participating in career and job fairs. Brenda also implemented internship programs with local school district CIT programs and local university undergraduate and graduate programs. Brenda enjoys volunteering in her community; she is an active member of the Junior League of Denver and Co-Chairs the Leaders United in Volunteer Service (LUVS) Committee. Brenda enjoys running, hiking, Kayaking, and spending time with her family. She enjoys any opportunity to be outdoors.
