Session Description

The post-COVID 'work from anywhere' environment has many employers navigating significant tax and immigration considerations.  Accommodating employees located across the U.S. and sometimes the globe takes knowledge and planning. Sarah Bileti

Sarah Bileti is a Business Immigration attorney with Holland & Hart, LLP. Sarah focuses her practice on guiding businesses and their employees through complex immigration matters and the process of obtaining and maintaining US work authorization. She has extensive experience assisting domestic and multinational companies with employment-based immigration matters. Sarah counsels clients in the automotive, engineering, financial services, academic, healthcare, pharmaceutical, and information technology industries. In particular, Sarah has extensive experience handling H-1B, L, TN, O, E, PERM, I-140 and I-485 petitions. She also works with clients to maintain compliance, providing training and internal audit assistance regarding Form I-9 and E-Verify matters. Prior to joining Holland & Hart, Sarah worked for an Am Law 200 firm and as a Senior Associate at two Michigan-based firms that specialize in immigration law.

 

 

Diane Mathis-Durfey

Diane Mathis-Durfey focuses her practice on international corporate, tax, and regulatory compliance matters. Diane brings a pragmatic, problem-solving approach to help clients establish and expand operations abroad. She leverages her extensive international expertise to help companies plan and develop a strategic approach to business based on the laws, customs, and culture of each foreign country. She works closely with in-house and outside counsel, management, and finance teams to proactively analyze legal risks and evaluate business options before embarking on new ventures abroad. With nearly 30 years of international legal experience spanning more than 120 countries across all six continents, clients benefit from her broad base of international work and the trusted relationships she has cultivated with well-connected, in-country legal professionals.

 

 

Alex Smith 

Alex Smith skillfully counsels clients on employee benefits and executive compensation issues. He advises clients regarding the federal laws applicable to health and welfare plans including the ACA, ERISA, HIPAA, and COBRA. Alex also advises clients on employee benefits and executive compensation issues that arise in the context of corporate transactions. Alex takes a problem-solving approach to his clients’ issues and works with them to ensure they find the most beneficial solutions to any employee benefits of executive compensation matter.
