Human in the Loop: Why People Still Matter in an AI-Powered World

Session Description

As AI and automation continue to reshape the workplace, one truth remains: people still drive long-term business success. In this SHRM-certified session, DOXA® Talent CEO David Nilssen explores how Human in the Loop (HITL) systems and Ethical Outsourcing® are transforming the future of work—without losing sight of culture. Attendees will gain a practical framework for blending automation with human insight, and learn why investing in people-first teams is not only ethical—it’s strategic. From global workforce models to inclusive, tech-enabled decision-making, this session is built for HR professionals navigating the intersection of AI, remote work, and organizational culture.

Learning Objectives:

By the end of this session, participants will be able to:

  • Understand how Human in the Loop (HITL) systems improve quality, trust, and accountability in AI-powered workplaces
  • Explore the principles of Ethical Outsourcing® and how they foster equity and growth in global teams
  • Learn why culture is a business advantage—not just a buzzword—and how to maintain it across borders
  • Discover how to integrate automation without losing the human judgment, empathy, and context that drive performance
  • Gain actionable strategies for leading people-first teams in an increasingly digital and distributed world
