Session 1 Harmonizing Benefits: A Case Study Kevin Booth of Jollibee Foods Corporation and Carol Dodd of Hub International will present a case study on best practices in harmonizing benefits. They’ll cover the thinking, planning and strategizing that goes into this approach and highlight the benefits to the organization. Areas they’ll address include:

Kevin Booth As Benefits Director, Jollibee Foods Corporation, USA (companies: Jollibee, Coffee Bean Tea Leaf, Smashburger, Red Ribbon, and Chowking) Kevin Booth is an experienced HR professional with a concentration in benefits, project management and system integrations. Kevin currently serves as the Benefits Director for Jollibee Foods Corporation USA (JFC USA). Kevin overseas the benefits and leave administration for all of JFC USA’s North American restaurant concepts that include Smashburger, Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, Jollibee, Chowking and Red Ribbon Bakery. His previous roles include Director of Total Rewards for Impact Group and Benefits Administrator for Smashburger. 
Carol Dodd Carol is a Vice President, Employee Benefits Consultant for HUB International Insurance Services. Carol has 25+ years experience in the insurance industry working for consultant firms, two major insurance companies, hospital providers and a large fortune 100 employer in the human resource benefits division. Carol’s area of expertise includes both self-funded and fully funded insurance plans. She is well versed in strategic planning, cost containment, account management, underwriting and renewal negotiations, carrier relationship management, benefit design development, medical plan auditing, financial reporting and HR system implementations.
Session 2 Alternative Health Coverage: Decreasing Cost and Increasing Satisfaction Nunes Partners will talk about alternative health coverage options, including Direct Primary Care, Health Cost Sharing, and Virtual Medicine. They’ll discuss the benefits of offering these options to employees, such as increased job satisfaction, improved health outcomes, and reduced healthcare costs.
They will also provide information on how these options can attract and retain employees, including a reduction in absenteeism and turnover rates. Additionally, it will showcase how these options can lower healthcare costs for both employers and employees. Overall, the presentation will demonstrate the value of alternative health coverage options and how they can positively impact both employees and employers.

With six years of experience in the industry, Brandy has gained a reputation as a disrupter, constantly challenging the status quo and finding creative solutions to meet the evolving needs of businesses and their employees. Leo Nunes, owner of Nunes Partners, is a seasoned employee benefits advisor and the founder of Nunes Partners, a leading agency specializing in alternative health care solutions for businesses. With over six years of experience in the insurance industry, Leo has established himself as a trusted expert in designing and implementing customized healthcare plans that maximize employee coverage while reducing costs, both monthly and out-of-pocket. Diagnosed with prostate cancer in August 2022, Leo has a deep personal understanding of the importance of accessible and affordable health care. Leo’s personal cancer journey has given him a deep understanding of the challenges and complexities of the ever-evolving health care industry. This fuels his passion for helping businesses of all sizes navigate the complex landscape of employee benefits to provide the best possible coverage for their employees.
Session 3 Panel Discussion Our speakers will be joined by Sarah Bhagwandin, benefits attorney with Polsinelli for a Q&A session on the in’s and out’s and legal considerations in developing novel approaches to benefits. Panelists will share their unique perspectives and experiences in leveraging benefits for positive outcomes. The panel will address moderated and audience questions surrounding the specific issues surrounding creative benefit approaches in the workplace.  Sarah Bhagwandin Sarah Bhagwandin is an ERISA attorney with Polsinelli with over 20 years of experience. She counsels clients on a broad range of employee benefits issues, including the design, administration and compliance of 401(k) plans, 403(b) plans, 401(a) plans, health and welfare plans, and nonqualified deferred compensation arrangements. She advises public and private companies, governmental entities, and religious and other nonprofits in all areas of employee benefits. In addition to advising on ERISA and tax compliance, she regularly counsels clients on statutory and regulatory requirements under COBRA, HIPAA, the Affordable Care Act, and other applicable laws.
