This legal update will cover many laws recently implemented or forthcoming in Colorado legislation. Both FAMLI and 2 new Pregnancy Laws; The Pregnant Workers Fairness Act (PWFA) and Providing Urgent Maternal Protections for Nursing Mothers ACT (PUMP) will be discussed by subject matter experts in the field. Harrison Meyers Harrisonis an attorney with Ogletree Deakins where he focuses his practice on defending employers at all stages of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, dispositive motions, arbitration, and trial. He has experience representing employers healthcare, financial services, and logistics industries. 
Becca Lindell Becca is an attorney in the Ogletree Deakins Denver office. Becca defends employers of all sizes in claims brought under federal and state employment laws. Becca also assists clients with various employment issues, including, but not limited to, investigations of complaints, wage and hour issues, restrictive covenants, and personnel policies. 
Emily Tichenor Emily Tichenor focuses her practice in the area of employment advice and investigations. In her work, Emily provides organizations guidance on a wide variety of employment topics. She has also successfully represented organizations of all sizes before state and federal courts and administrative agencies and has assisted employers in obtaining favorable decisions before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration. Additionally, Emily has counseled employers to resolve disputes and avoid litigation. 
David Gallivan David Gallivan graduated from Rutgers School of Law - Camden in 2007. Following a clerkship in the New Jersey Superior Court, Family Division, he opened his own practice providing services to low income clients in domestic violence and family cases. After a brief stint as a volunteer election program coordinator with the Sudan Council of Churches in what is now known as South Sudan, he returned home to Colorado and joined the Division of Workers' Compensation in 2010. After twelve years with Workers' Comp, including six as an Administrative Law Judge, David joined the FAMLI division in 2022 as manager of the Compliance and Appeals Branch.
