We are excited to announce the recipient of Mile High SHRM's $3,500

Workforce Grant and Volunteer Partner for 2023 is:

Hope House Colorado empowers parenting teen moms to strive for personal and economic self-sufficiency, resulting in a healthy future for them and for their children.  Hope House Colorado is committed to transforming the lives of teen moms around the world.

Hope House provides free self-sufficiency programs to parenting teen moms in three key areas. The Empower Program provides opportunities for personal, educational, and economic self-sufficiency for teen moms. The Housing Support Program provides metro-Denver’s only Residential Program for teen moms and additional housing support through various partnerships. The Early Learning & School Age Program focuses on literacy and social-emotional development for the children of Hope House teen moms. All programs are designed to transform the lives of two generations at Hope House.

Hope House Colorado relies on the teamwork of staff and volunteers to empower parenting teen moms as they work toward self-sufficiency. Volunteers provide their talents, skills, and time to partner with Hope House in creating a safe, welcoming learning environment for our teen moms and their children. Engaged volunteers provide varied perspectives and experiences and are passionate ambassadors for our cause. Most importantly, by sharing a part of their lives, our volunteers bless our staff, our teen moms and their kids.

Potential volunteer opportunities include: Administrative Support Team; Early Learning Team; Events Team; Facilities Team; Hope Boutique Team; Kitchen Team; Residential Team; Therapy Dog Team; Tutoring Team; Vehicle Maintenance Team.

Times for each opportunity/event differ.

We fully believe that the best volunteers are those who can take ownership of an area in which they are skilled and passionate. If you have a specific skill set and would like to support Hope House in a way not listed here, please contact us. We want to get you plugged into the area that best suits you!

THERAPY DOG TEAM - Children who attend our Early Learning & School Age Program have the opportunity to interact with therapy dogs who come and visit our classrooms. TUTORING TEAM - Tutor teen moms working toward their high school diplomas, GED certification or college and career goals. College degree not necessary.

VEHICLE MAINTAINANCE TEAM – Support our teen moms by helping them change their oil, check their tire pressure, inspect belts and hoses and more. The labor for routine car maintenance can cost upwards of $100 an hour, so alleviating this cost for teen moms makes a big difference. You can also guide teen moms on how to perform these DIY car tasks at home!

FUNDRAISING/HOST A SMALL EVENT – Raise money to empower teen moms and their children by hosting an event to benefit Hope House.
